Round Four : Challenge

Welcome to the round four challenge!

This is the 'Connect the dots Challenge'.

Below the link you will see a series of puzzles for you to solve.

I will provide an example of how to solve the puzzle now, but if you have any further questions please contact me.

EXAMPLE:
example before
Your challenge will be to find a way to connect each colour with it's matching colour.   This can be done by moving only horizontally or vertically through the squares.  You can only use each square as a pathway once.   For example, if you have already used a4 to connect the yellow dots, you cannot use that square again for the green dot, you must find a different way.   You cannot cross a pathway that has already been used.

For example, this is the same puzzle as above, but solved.
example after

Hint:  Sometimes it will be easier for you to either save the image onto your computer and use a program to draw over the image or to re-draw the image onto paper and play around with it until the answer becomes evident.    I have all the answers to these puzzles so I know they can be done, but they can be tricky at first glace, give it some time and play around with it.

Submit your answers by commenting on this entry (comments are screened), with either a picture of the solved puzzles similar to what I did above Or by text format
For example:
Red:
A1
B1
C1
D1
E1
E2
Either style of answer will be accepted.

You cannot add to or edit your answer once you have posted it, so please make sure you are happy with your answer before you comment.
You are not required to complete every puzzle if you cannot, just submit what you can.
You have a maximum time frame of 28th January 10:00 AEDT (Handy link to world clock to help convert to your personal time zone if you are interested - CLICK HERE).
The player who answers the most puzzles correctly will win the challenge, in the case of a draw, the player who submits their answers the first will be the winner.
The player who answers the least puzzles correctly will be eliminated from the game, in the case of a draw, the player who submits their answers the last will be eliminated.

As a reward for winning the last round, Gobbolina is safe from elimination this challenge.

Any questions?  Ask away.
Good Luck!

Reward Update

Carol has used her reward she obtained by winning round one.   Her reward is called 'Second Chance'.
This is a one time only chance to stay in the game after being eliminated.

Since coming in last place in the last challenge, she was asked to predict which suit of card I would flip over using a standard deck of shuffled playing cards.
She had a choice of either Spades, Clubs, Diamonds or Hearts.    Carol chose Clubs.

If the card I flipped over was to be clubs then she would remain in the game and no one would be eliminated for round three.   If she chose incorrect, then she was to be permanently eliminated.

The next challenge will be posted 22nd January at 10:00 AEDT (Handy link to world clock to help convert to your personal time zone if you are interested - CLICK HERE).
You are not required to be online at the time the challenge is posted.

Reward update

As a reward for winning the last round, Chel was asked who she thought might be her biggest competition in the game.   The person she named was to be blocked from gaining any rewards for the rest of the game.

The player she chose is Carol.

Carol, you still have your 'Second Chance' reward, and you can still win challenges, but the option to gain any future rewards has been removed.  If you have any questions, please ask.

Round Three: Challenge

Welcome to Round Three.

This is the 'Sums' Challenge.

For the next 6 days I will be posting in this community at exactly 18:00 AEDT (Handy link to world clock to help convert to your personal time zone if you are interested - CLICK HERE) with one simple question.  You are not required to be online at the time the question is posted, but you will have 24 hours to answer the question.

The questions will be simple.   Each day I am going to give you a number ranging from 0-9 and I will ask you where on the picture below you would like to place that number.   You can choose from either A, B, C, D, E, or F.

math challenge
Your aim after the 6 days is to have the sum that totals the highest.   This will be achieved by placing the numbers I give you once a day in the place you feel will give you the best result.   The player who creates the sum which adds to the smallest amount will be eliminated from the game.   If you fail to give your answer within a 24hour period, your number of the day will automatically be placed in the first available space, which may disadvantage your overall sum.

Any questions, Please ASK!   Good Luck!

  • You can only submit your answers once.  You cannot add to or edit your answers after you have commented.  Please make sure you are happy with your answers before you submit them.

  • Minor spelling errors will not impact your score.

  • Not all of the images are recent.
